tooth loss

Did you know ?

We can lose 20% to 30% of bone volume and height in the first year following the loss of one or several teeth.

In fact, natural teeth roots allow a bone stimulus. When a tooth is extracted, the bone does not produce bone cells in that area. Therefore, we can observe a loss of bone mass. The more time goes by, the more important this loss is and may represent 80% of bone level.

This is why, over the years, people who wear prostheses need ones that are thicker to fill the lack of bone. This bone supports facial structures and without teeth, the appearence of premature aging is observed.
